Bart Bakkum Managing director skelex

“I am thrilled to join Skelex” said Bakkum. “The groundbreaking evangelisation of exoskeletons to improve workplace safety during nearly 10 years by founder Gaurav Genani, has resulted in fantastic advancements in several industries already. It is our belief that exoskeletons should become a normality in many more industries.  I do really look forward to cooperating with the talented Skelex team, distributors, users and all other stakeholders, to make that ambition a reality and create a lasting positive impact for all who perform heavy, repetitive and important functions, no matter which industry.  Usage of exoskeletons should become as normal for heavy work as ergonomic chairs are for office work. I invite all who share this vision to unite and make such happen. We really have solutions that add quality!”

In addition to Bakkum’s appointment, Skelex is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank van der Mooren as Commercial Director. He previously held senior roles at Knauf, where he managed market- and product development for plastering machine technologies and successfully launched the Knauf exoskeletons for plasterers in close cooperation with Skelex.  Frank’s experience in industrial technology, combined with his passion for improving worker safety, make him a perfect fit for Skelex.

Frank van der Mooren Commercial Director Skelex

“I am honoured to take on the role of Commercial Director at Skelex. During the last 7 years I have seen enormous positive effects in quality of life for plasterers by using exoskeletons in their daily work.” said van der Mooren. “Those benefits should be experienced by many more. We at Skelex want to make this accessible at scale. I take pride in leading that ambition commercially, and look forward to roll-out Skelex product portfolio globally with partners who also stand for workplace safety. An exoskeleton should become as normal as a protective shoe is.”

With Frank van der Mooren as new Commercial Director, Jaap Hoogland steps down. He will remain committed to Skelex as advisor, bringing his expertise and experience to strategy and new initiatives. Hoogland has been instrumental in navigating the company through the initial years of pioneering the exoskeleton industry. During those years the company grew into a leading provider of exoskeletons, contributing to safety and efficiency in the workplace for many.

During all those years of missionary work I have experienced first hand that exoskeletons do really improve the quality of life for those who execute heavy or repetitive jobs. Now the market is starting to realize this as well, a new era of the company is opened as well. The new appointments are instrumental for Skelex growth ambitions to serve and equip many more professionals with exoskeletons.
